Who can rent

You need to be 25 or older with a valid driver's licence you've held for at least 1 year.

We verify the licence from a photo of the front and back plus a selfie, and verify insurance if you're bringing your own. Both happen online before pickup.

Under the minimum age, message us on the chat before booking. Exceptions are case by case and never automatic.

Only the person who signs the agreement may drive the car, unless we add someone in writing before handover.

Booking, changing and cancelling

Book at least 12 hours ahead, for a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 365, up to 180 days in advance.

Free cancellation until 24 hours before pickup. After that, or if you don't show, the first payment is kept.

To change dates or cars, message us on the chat. If the car is free we'll move it; the price difference is charged or refunded at the current rate.

There's a 59-minute grace period on the return time before a late fee starts.

The deposit

At pickup we place a $250 hold on the card you booked with. A few cars carry a different hold; the exact amount is on the car's page and in the agreement before you sign.

A hold is not a charge. The money doesn't leave your account — your bank sets it aside.

It's released within 3 days of the car coming back, less anything owed. Depending on your bank it can show as pending for a few days after that.

Protection

Full coverage: $19 per day. Your responsibility per incident is capped at $500.

Your own insurance: if your policy covers rental cars, you can use it. We'll need to see the declarations page, and your responsibility is your policy's deductible plus $3,000.

We're not insurance agents and can't tell you what your policy covers. That's a question for your insurer, and it's worth asking before you book.

Mileage

Included mileage is set per car — typically 150 miles a day, or 1,500 a month on a monthly rate. Each car's page says what it comes with.

Extra miles are billed at the car's rate (usually $0.35 a mile), measured by odometer: the reading at handover against the reading at return. Both are photographed.

On a monthly rental the allowance is cumulative, so a quiet month covers a busy one. Only miles past everything allowed to date are charged.

Fuel and charge

Petrol cars go out with a full tank and come back full, on premium (91+).

If it comes back short we charge the fuel at the local rate plus a $35 service fee.

Electric cars go out charged and come back at 70% or better.

Cleaning, smoking and pets

No smoking or vaping in the car, and no pets. Either one is a $500 cleaning fee.

Normal wear is normal — we don't charge for sand in the mats after a week at the beach. The fee is for what needs a detail, with a $150 minimum.

Late return

Past the 59-minute grace period, $150 per calendar day.

If you're running late, message us. We can almost always work around it — what we can't do is leave the next person waiting without knowing.

Tolls, tickets and citations

Tolls, parking tickets, red-light and speed-camera citations incurred during your rental are yours.

Florida tolls often arrive weeks after the trip. When yours land we send you the detail — date, time, plaza and amount for each one — and charge them together to the card on file. Tolls are passed through at cost: we don't charge anything to process them.

We never charge a toll without showing you where and when it came from first.

Tickets and citations are different: those carry $25 per citation processed.

How the car gets driven

Cars carry telematics and most are limited to 80–85 mph. No towing, no racing, no off-road, and no sleeping in the car.

The car doesn't leave the state without telling us first. It's not that we'll say no — it's that we need to know where it is.

If the car breaks down, call us before having it fixed. We authorise emergency repairs up to $250 without asking; above that we talk.

Delivery and airports

Normal pickup is at our lot, 1107 SE 12th Pl, Cape Coral, FL 33990.

Contactless airport handoff: we park the car with instructions and message you photos and the exact spot. Fort Myers airport (RSW) — $60, free on rentals of 4 days or more · Punta Gorda airport (PGD) — $60, free on rentals of 4 days or more.

Tax and surcharges

Sales tax of 6.5%.

Florida state surcharge of $2 per day on the first 30 days.

The price you see when booking is the total. We don't add fees at the counter, because we don't have a counter.
